If a starting pitcher can't last more than 1/3rd of an inning vs. the KC Royals, that pitcher is done as a major-league starting pitcher.
Felix Hernandez is due back in 5 days. Cha Baek pitched decently today. Bump him up a day and let Felix take the 5th. Even if Felix isn't able to come back right away, there are still better options within this organization. A roster move needs to be made. Let Weaver be the casualty, not Baek.

Kids, you SO should have been at the Rainiers game today, during a (through the 7th) sunny afternoon. A fab ending (grand slam walk off for Wlad) for those of us wasting annual leave :)
I'm past ready for the Mariners to DFA Jeff Weaver. When I saw that Weaver was going to get another start, I about spewed my soda.
Can Horacio Ramirez be far behind?
A bad trade for Ramirez, a terrible signing (Weaver). At least Miguel Batista is making progress re. getting his ERA down more toward the low-5.00/high-4.00 range.
