Financial protest over?!
Could it be? Adrian Beltre a Mariner? Say it IS so!
When I see the announcement, and Mr. Beltre wearing a Mariners jersey, my financial protest will officially be over. I am glad it had to end this way.

Munch -- they're peeling me off the ceiling at work right now, but even in my giddy-ness, I'm not quite caving in yet. Maybe my heart is too hardened by their past sins, but I have declared that the sole signing of Beltran -- not Beltre -- would end my protest, and I'm inclined to stick to my guns. This is great news, definitely, but even if I bumped Beltre to a 3 and gave Sexson the benefit of the doubt and bumped him up to a 1 (instead of the -1 I assigned him) they're currently only at 4. One more positive move will have to do it for me. Sign Perez/Millwood/Lowe/Clement, and I'm definitely going to the team store.
Still, there's very good reason to celebrate. Let's hope there's still more to come!!!
