Hey, now! Look at this!
Yep. George Sherrill T-Shirt night in Baltimore on July 1st.
Amazing, isn't it. Wish that shirt were blue, though...

Baltimore fan Kristen here. I have to say that I share your love of George, and I got to the stadium 2 hours early to make sure I got this t-shirt, there were only 10,000. Now I sit on pins and needles as the trade deadline looms and Georgie is the name they keep throwing around. I know we are rebuilding, and we won't be contenders for a few years, but I'm selfish! I want to keep him to myself. Is that wrong?
Hey, Kristen!
Really glad to finally hear from some B-More fans! I'm sure lots of folks in B-More like yourself have grown some fondness for GS52. And it sounds to me that he likes Baltimore, too.
I'm definitely not anxious at all for him to lose his hard-earned and well-deserved closer's spot, which is what might happen if he's traded. So, no, you're not wrong for wanting to keep him.
If they trade him to the Angels, I think I will die. I could, I supposed, be OK with the Cardinals trading for him, but again I want him in his closer's job. Otherwise, the "Free George Sherrill!" campaign will have to re-print its lawn signs...
