Fuuuuuudddggggggge
Yeah, well, rough game for George tonight. But an even rougher night for the offense, again.
Still, had Reitsma been able to get one guy out, and not walk the heck out of the A's, the inning would've been over before Swish got to the plate. Yeah, George served a meatball. Just like JJ's yesterday, though, it was bound to happen. Reitsma's the guy that can't get an out if he tried.
One of the first changes needs to be the DFA of Reitsma. He's clearly not a high-leverage RP anymore. Let Green and GS52 handle those situations, and EOF and Lowe take 'em in the 6th-7th.
And, of course, Beltre went waaaay out of his way to try and grab a foul ball in left field. Where the heck was the LFer??? Right.
They've picked a baaaad time to start slumping.

It wasn't really a meatball though. It was a 93 mph fastball on the inside corner. He totally hit the spot that Kenji called for.
Also, according to the tracer and gameday, the first pitch to Swisher was a strike. Kenji wanted it over the inside part, and it was thrown over the outside part.
And, like you said, where was the LF on that foul ball!!!! Leave it to the M's to still play the deepest outfield in the majors (towards the wall that is).
Looked pretty saucy to me. As saucy a pitch as George has served up in a long time. Maybe it was Swisher's genuine awesomeness vs. the M's this weekend -- I don't necessarily blame George. Swish was crushing everything from everybody.
I'm not concerned. Yeah, the umps have been brutal to M's pitching. Brutal! And, to Sexson, too, which, well, I'm not so upset about :-)
Our left fielder is invisible to me. INVISIBLE. I want more Broussard and Jones, and less Sexson and Ibanez!
